I have been inspired. I suppose in most peoples lives there is a moment when they've had enough and something must be done. In years past talking with friends and family is about the most anyone person could do. Sure some people were able to write about it in the local paper or even get their opinions on the national stage if some new producer felt the topic was newsworthy. Today the internet has opened up a new way for people to express their feelings and opinions.
To whom do I owe this inspiration to? Mr. Garth Turner, MP for Halton, Ontario. As most Canadians are aware, Mr. Turner was recently kicked out of the Conservative caucus. While I was aware of the situation it wasn't until I read his blog about the situation that I felt I needed to do something.
That something is this blog. I hope to be able to provide an unbiased take of the happenings in Canadian parliament.
I must say I am impressed With Mr. Turner's stand on the situation he finds himself in, I think he has found the true power in politics and hopefully he will be able to make a difference in our parliamentary system for all our benefit.
